Pro-Kaku Heroes - Vol. 3. - NOAH Fighters

On June 7th, 2005 Character Product released their third wave of
Mini Big Heads. Simply titled "Vol. 3. NOAH", which would
feature the biggest stars from Mitsuharu Misawa's Pro-Wrestling
NOAH promotion.

Vol. 3. Blindbox and 15 figure Hobby Box.

                      

Released the same day as Vol. 1.5.'s repaint series, the NOAH
edition was limited to just 180,000 pieces.

Keeping with Pro-Wrestling NOAH's preference for the colour
green,each Vol. 3. Mini Big Head comes with an exclusive green
coloured base.

Just like Vol. 1.5., Vol. 3. would consist of 18 regular figures to
collect plus one secret mystery figure. The figures in Vol. 3. are:

Fan favorite and AJPW underdog, Kenta Kobashi in both his
entrance and regular purple & black ring attire along with GHC
Tag Team Champion tag partner: Tamon Honda.

Kenta Kobashi's entrance attire Mini Big Head is the only Mini
Big Head to contain Pro-Wrestling NOAH's coveted GHC
Championship Belt!

The above Mini Big Heads were inspired by Mogura House's
GHC Tag Team Championship Kobashi & Honda action figure
two-pack.
                         

"Blue Thunder" Jun Akiyama in his mid 2000's NOAH silver
and white entrance & ring attire variants (a look that Akiyama
still sports these days as AJPW President).

Fans of the legendary AJPW Tag Team the "Holy Demon Army"
would be able to complete the duo with the Akira Taue Mini Big
Head complete with signature Chokeslam pose!

Next up are Pro-Wrestling NOAH's first Junior Heavyweight
Champion: Yoshinobu Kanemaru, third Champion Naomichi
Marufuji & current WWE Superstar KENTA (Hideo Itami).

                      

Naomichi Marufuji's Mini Big Head contains a mini mask
accessory that Marufuji would wear and remove as part of
his entrance attire.

Next up is Mitsuharu Misawa's protege and GHC Tag Team
Champion partner Yoshinari Ogawa and Tsuyoshi "Fireball"
Kikuchi.

Yoshinari Ogawa features his signature zebra stripe ring trunks,
leather entrance vest and comes paired with a pair of mini sun
-glasses (that Ogawa just removed).

As to my knowledge, this is the ONLY Tsuyoshi Kikuchi
figure ever created!

AJPW veterans Mitsuo Momota (the son of Rikidozan), Haruka
Eigen and "the demon of the steel cage" Rusher Kimura complete
with head scars!

Rusher Kimura was also known for his wild, off-the-wall remarks
on the mic (earning his second nickname "the demon of the mic")
as a comic relief.

To reflect this, the Rusher Kimura Mini Big Head comes
with an apron and mini microphone.

                             

Rounding out the tail-end of Volume 3. is Takeshi Rikio
and now-retired Professional Wrestler Takeshi Morishima.

                             

To promote the release of Vol.3., Character Product held a special
Autograph signing with Takeshi Rikio, KENTA and Yoshinobu
Kanemaru all making special appearances at two Circle K Sunkus
stores (the convenience store that sold the Pro-Kaku Mini Big
Head figures) in Japan.

The last three figures: Mitsuharu Misawa (in signature "Roll
-ing Elbow" pose), Vol.3. Secret & entrance attire variants.

Continuing Pro-kaku's tradition of including promotion presidents
as secret figures, The Mitsuharu Misawa secret Mini Big Head is
dressed in Misawa's Pro-Wrestling NOAH president suit attire.

                          

Strangely, the Misawa secret Mini Big Head has a darker skin
tone than the regular Misawa Mini Big Heads (was this intentional
or simply part of an pre or post painted batch?).

The Misawa secret variant also shares a similar mold with the
Keiji Mutoh secret Mini Big Head from Vol.1.5. (both being
released on the same day).

Just like the Vol. 5. display ring promotion, Character Product
would also release a special display ring exclusively for the
Vol. 3. Pro-Wrestling NOAH Mini Big Head figures.

The NOAH display ring would also come with a mini cert
-ificate from Pro- Wrestling NOAH itself approving of the
product!

 

The Vol.3. NOAH display ring is the same scale as the NJPW
Strong Style and Vol. 5. Mini Big Head rings.
