Today, we'll be taking a look at another figure of Keiji Mutoh from
the NWO Japan era of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Blog #133 is all
about Toukon Shop's Keiji Mutoh (Natural Born Master) figure.
Released in 1999 as part of Toukon Shop's "Super Star Figure Collection"
line, this particular figure is based on Keiji Mutoh's brief time as leader of
the NWO Japan stable.
Two years into joining NWO Japan, Keiji Mutoh finally became the leader
of the stable following Masahiro Chono (the previous NWO leader)'s neck
injury.
This figure would be Keiji Mutoh's second unmasked figure (and first to
feature a clean-shaven face sculpt) released by Toukon Shop and the only
figure to feature a removable bottle accessory.

The back of Mutoh's tights contain the phrase "I AM BOSS' and a drawing
of Mutoh with the NWO wolfpack hand signal. The phrase is a reference of
Mutoh taking over the NWO Japan stable during Chono's absence.
