Character Product Genichiro Tenryu Clear figure review

Speaking of clear variants, one of the most sought-after Puroresu
figures is All Japan and WAR veteran: Genichiro Tenryu!

In blog post #62, we'll take a look at this limited edition figure and
provide you, the reader, with the option to purchase this rarity for
yourself!

The packaging depicts a late 1990's photo of Tenryu with Tenryu's ring
name "天龍 源一郎" written in his signature yellow and black colours.

This special see-through variant is the only clear Genichiro Tenryu
figure ever made!

While Character Product is best known for their figures based on
All Japan Pro-Wrestling's biggest stars, the bottom of the package
contains Tenryu's Pro-Wrestling Association WAR promotion logo
and copyright.

Due to AJPW's founder Giant Baba vowing never to work with
Tenryu again (Tenryu, an AJPW native, left the promotion in
1990 to join SWS and his own promotion in 1992), Tenryu wouldn't
join All Japan Pro-Wrestling again until 2000 (after Baba's passing
and as a response to the formation of rival promotion Pro-Wrestling
NOAH).

The back of the packaging contains Tenryu's stats and bio starting
with Tenryu's start as a Sumo Wrestler at the age of 13 to his modern
accomplishments.

Tenryu's stats read:

"Birthplace: Katsuyama, Fukui, Japan
Date of birth: 1950.2.23 (February 23rd, 1950)
Height: 189cm (6ft 2in)
Weight: 125kg (275 lbs)
Signature moves: Powerbomb
                              WAR Special"
