For blog #68, we'll be looking at one of the earliest figures released
by New Japan's Toukon Shop. "Mr. G1" himself: Masahiro Chono!
Released in 1997 as "Super Star Figure Collection 3", this would
be Chono's first action figure and one of the earliest figures produ
-ced by Toukon Shop for New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
The design of this figure is based on Masahiro Chono's famous
heel turn in 1995, where Chono repackaged himself as the evil
"Black Charisma" and infamous leader of the NWO Japan stable.

The Toukon Shop Masahiro Chono figure contains minimal articul
-ation (due to the overlapping shoulder section of Chono's trench
coat) at Chono's left and right arms.
A unique feature to the Toukon Shop Masahiro Chono figure is Chono's
right arm (which is sculpted in a permanently-outstretched position) can
be rotated 360 degrees; shifting Chono's right hand into a thumbs up or
thumbs down pose.
Included as the first accessory of the line, the Masahiro Chono Toukon
Shop figure also comes packaged with removable sunglasses,
