Going back through the photo archive once again, we have some unfinished business from
Character Product's line of renown Mixed Martial Artists.
Just bringing up the style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu makes many a fan think of one legend in
particular: Rickson Gracie.
For Blog #210, we'll be looking at Character Product's Rickson Gracie PRIDE figure.
Rickson Gracie is is dressed in a white entrance robe with a sculpted pose as if Rickson
is making his way to the ring.
This particular figure gets it's "PRIDE" name due to Rickson's involvement with the
Japanese PRIDE promotion.
The right portion of Rickson's robe contains the Gracie Gym logo.
The Gracie Gym logo is also on Rickon's left sleeve.
Rickson's name is on the back of his entrance robe along with the stamped copyright
"(C) Rickson" as this was an officially licensed figure endorsed by Mr. Gracie himself.
Articulation-wise, Gracie contains movable arms and a waist. Typical Character Product
posability.
Gracie's entrance attire has inspired the cover of 1999's Fire Pro Wrestling G.
Closing thoughts:
Rickson Gracie's legacy lives on as one of the most feared competitors to ever step inside
a Mixed Martial Arts arena. One of the most renown members of the Gracie clan and a
MMA Hall of fame inductee, Gracie's Character Product figures continue to remain
popular commodities across the globe.
In case you were wondering, Gracie's robe cannot be removed; enticing collectors to
seek out all four Character Product action figures of the legend.
