Mogura House Kenta Kobashi (orange and blue ver.) figure review

Eventually, this blog is going to contain a list of every known Mogura House figure ever made.
Every variant, two-pack, event exclusive and specialty figure with accompanying photos to help
collectors hunt Mogura House's figures down.

Until then, we have some unfinished business in the old photo archive with Blog #216 which
burns with the Mogura House Kenta Kobashi orange and blue figure variant.

Kenta Kobashi was released as part of Mogura House's early 2000's Pro-Wrestling NOAH
figure line.

The packaging contains era-accurate photos of Kobashi and a fire motif.

This particular variant features Kobashi with a clean shaven appearance.

The back of the packaging contains Kobashi's stats, a brief bio and a repeat of the
close-up Kobashi shot from the front of the blister card.

Kenta Kobashi is clean shaven and comes in a pair of orange trunks with blue and white
decals. This attire is an update to Kobashi's early 1990's orange trunks in which Kobashi
wore in his previous promotion: All Japan Pro-Wrestling.

The "Burning" design continues on the back of Kobashi's trunks.

Collectors should note that there is a special variant of the orange and blue Kenta Kobashi
figured that was included in a limited edition two-pack against Mitsuharu Misawa!

The two big differences with the limited edition variant is Kobashi's goatee and chop hand
sculpt!

Closing thoughts:

Out of all of the Mogura House figures, the two Japanese Wrestlers that received the most
figure variants were Pro-Wrestling NOAH's two biggest stars: Mitsuharu Misawa and Kenta
Kobashi. Closed fists, open fists, elbow sculpt, non elbow sculpt, facial hair, clean shaven,
etc...

While relatively common, the orange and blue Kenta Kobashi figure symbolizes Kobashi's
start in All Japan Pro-Wrestling mixed with the designs Kobashi would adopt into the
twilight of his career as the "Maximum Innovator".

If given the choice, I would certainly seek out the limited edition two-pack with Mitsuharu
Misawa. Higher value aside, Mogura House only bundled Misawa and Kobashi together
twice in the company's history; making the two-packs all the more special.
