Mogura House Rikidozan Tiger Robe (bouquet version) figure review

Normally, when Wrestling figure collectors think of toys based on
Japanese Wrestling legends, chances are, the first toy company that
comes to mind is Character Product (or "Charapro" for short).

Surprisingly, Character Product wasn't the only company responsible
for releasing figures based off of legendary likenesses. On the contrary,
fellow Japanese toy maker Mogura House would also release a number
of figure variants that were sold exclusively in Japan in the early 2000's.

For blog #106, we'll be looking at two legends figures: Mogura House's
Rikidozan Tiger Robe figure variants.

The "father of Puroresu" Rikidozan comes in Mogura House's deluxe
figure packaging with a printed Rikidozan signature placed at the top
left corner.

This Rikidozan figure variant features a beautiful design of a Tiger
snarling amidst a series of bamboo trees.

The back of the packaging features a bio on Rikidozan, his stats and
the real-life Tiger robe that Rikidozan wore.

As a deluxe figure, the tiger robe variant also includes an acrylic display
base, attachable acrylic figure holders and an attachable acrylic nameplate
that contains Rikidozan's name in Japanese kanji.

Available for the first time ever with any Japanese Wrestling figure is a
bouquet of flowers (Wrestlers in Japan would throw before the start of
a Championship fight) at Rikidozan's side.

Around the same time, Character Product and Toukon shop were also
releasing their own deluxe figures with identical display bases.

RINGSIDE.jp (not to be confused with Ringside Collectibles) would also
release a special online exclusive of the tiger robe Rikidozan figure.

This deluxe variant of Rikidozan features Rikidozan sculpted with both hands
on hips (without the bouquet of flowers) and a gold foil sticker with the RING
-SIDE logo).

The tiger robe Rikidozan figure was also turned into a Mini Big Head and
sold by fellow figure maker Character Product as part of Charapro's Mini
Big Head Figures (Vol. 5. - Legend Fighters) line.
