Next up is another obscure figure collection that carries on Japan's long history of super-deformed,
chibi-fied cuteness.
Blog #197 covers the Dragon Gate Finger Puppet Collection.
These soft vinyl finger puppets were produced in 2004 and feature several recognizable faces from
the Dragon Gate promotion.
The figures are:
1) Dragon Kid (middle row) (green version)
2) Dragon Kid (gold version)
3) Magnum Tokyo (bottom row - far left and far right) (silver hair version)
4) Magnum Tokyo (gold hair version)
5) CIMA (bottom row centre) (white attire)
6) CIMA (black attire)
7) Stalker Ichikawa (top row - far right)
8) Masaaki Mochizuki (top row - far left) (blonde hair)
9) Masaaki Mochizuki (silver hair) (yes, there is a duplicate of this variant in the above pic).
10) President Okamura (middle row - far right) (secret figure of the set)
For about 2 inch tall finger puppets, there is certainly a lot of detail added to these figures.
I especially like Stalker Ichikawa's mischievous grin.
In terms of rareness, I've never personally seen these in the wild until recently.
