LEG LOCK Keiji Mutoh LOVE POSE inflatable hand review

Usually, when we discuss obscure Japanese Pro-Wrestling collectibles, it's the Wrestling fans and collectors that aren't aware of a particular item's existence.

But, what if I told you there are officially-licensed Wrestling collectibles out there that even the
Wrestlers themselves aren't aware of?

Our next collectible spotlight is another one of those instances. Blog #192 puts the Figure Four
on the LEG LOCK Keiji Mutoh LOVE POSE inflatable hand.

Released by LEG LOCK (the now-defunct merchandising company owned by Keiji
Mutoh) in the early 2000's, the inflatable hand is crafted to resemble Keiji Mutoh's
signature "Pro Wrestl. LOVE" taunt.

The LOVE POSE hand measures about 20 inches in length by 12 and a half inches in
width.

Keiji Mutoh's name is written on the back of the inflatable hand's pointer and pinky fingers.

An close-up of the LEG LOCK logo at the base of the inflatable hand.

How many inflatable Great Muta/Keiji Mutoh products can you think of? This is the only
example that I can think of.

Initially, I thought this inflatable hand would function as your typical foam finger found at many
sporting events. It certainly seems like the intention for a collectible such as this.

Alas, there isn't much space at the bottom of the inflatable hand to fit a grown adult's hand.

Closing thoughts:

Definitely one of the odder (yet, fairly common) Japanese collectibles out there. Usually, these
inflatable hands are sold in pairs (so fans can fully recreate Keiji Mutoh's Pro Wrest LOVE pose).

At a fan convention years ago,  Keiji Mutoh was presented with one of these inflatable hands to
sign. Upon looking at the hand, Mutoh stated that he never seen this piece of merchandise before
(yet, LEG LOCK served as Keiji Mutoh's official merchandising office for quite some time,
which I found rather puzzling).

Since the Keiji Mutoh hand can be deflated, it makes for easy storage when not in use or display.
Though, I wouldn't actually recommend taking these hands to a Wrestling event; mainly out of
fear of accidentally popping them.

Only recommended for Keiji Mutoh/Great Muta die-hards.
